Orthodontics & Invisalign
As children replace their primary teeth with permanent ones, Dr. Hornstein pays special attention to the need for early orthodontic intervention. We refer our patients to top-rated orthodontists when needed. Adults also may have orthodontic issues, so we take those concerns into account when planning and recommending treatment for our patients.
Thanks to modern orthodontics, adult patients who want to straighten their smiles can now avoid metal-and-bracket braces. Invisalign clear braces will reposition your teeth without the unpleasantness or embarrassment associated with traditional orthodontia. The Invisalign system straightens teeth through a series of clear, custom aligners. Patients wear each aligner for about two weeks and then replace it with the next one in the series.
During the first step, Dr. Hornstein will capture 3-D images of your mouth and send them to the laboratory to generate your complete set of aligners. Wear the aligners about 22 hours a day to produce the best results, but take them out for eating, brushing, or an important occasion. After 12 to 18 months of Invisalign therapy, you will attain a straight, attractive smile.
